Dayuan car rental: who should choose Dayuan Store?

Dayuan Store (大園店) is at 桃園市大園區中正東路205號 — No. 205, Zhongzheng East Road, Dayuan District — a few kilometers from the airport terminals. Many travelers assume the airport is the only option nearby, but the two points offer different vehicles: if you need a truck or a scooter near the airport, Dayuan Store is the one that has them. Locals living around Dayuan and Luzhu can use it for everyday rentals too.

Taoyuan Airport (TPE): your car waits in the airport parking area

HSR Taoyuan Station: self-service parking-lot pickup

Coming by High Speed Rail? At HSR Taoyuan Station (桃園高鐵站, 桃園市中壢區高鐵站前西路一段90號) staff drive the car to a designated parking lot and you walk there to collect it; on return you leave the key in the car. Which parking lot is stated in your booking confirmation.

• Bookable hours: 00:00–23:55 — book as soon as you know your train.
• Vehicle types: 5-seater, 7–9 seater (for a truck, use Taoyuan Store or Dayuan Store)

Taoyuan city center: Taoyuan Store or Zhongzheng Station?

• Taoyuan Store (桃園市桃園區三民路二段296號): bookable online 09:00–21:00; outside business hours (21:00–09:00), call the store in advance and they will arrange your pickup or return. All four vehicle types. About 1.4 km from Taoyuan Station.
• Taoyuan Zhongzheng Station (桃園市桃園區中正路784號): bookable 00:00–23:55, 5-seater and 7–9 seater. The website does not describe the pickup method, so follow your booking confirmation. About 1.5–1.8 km from Taoyuan Store.

First rental, truck or scooter, or you want an in-person handover → Taoyuan Store in the daytime. Pickup after 9 p.m. → book Zhongzheng Station online, or call Taoyuan Store in advance to arrange it.

Zhongli, Pingzhen and Bade: Pingzhen Yanping Station

Pingzhen Yanping Station (平鎮復梅站, 桃園市平鎮區復旦路二段206號) is a self-service pickup at a Times parking lot, bookable 00:00–23:55. It is about 3 km from Zhongli Station (roughly 5 minutes in free-flowing traffic). Vehicle types: 5-seater and 7–9 seater — for a truck in Zhongli or Pingzhen, use Taoyuan Store or Dayuan Store. Guishan: Guishan Huilong Station

Guishan Huilong Station (龜山迴龍站, opposite 桃園市龜山區萬壽路一段21巷13號) is a self-service parking-lot pickup, bookable online 09:00–21:00; outside business hours (21:00–09:00), call the store in advance and they will arrange your pickup or return. It is about 300 m on foot from Taipei Metro Huilong Station. Only 5-seaters are listed here — for a 7–9 seater, truck or scooter, choose another Taoyuan point. Truck rental in Taoyuan: which point for moving house?

In Taoyuan, trucks can currently be rented at Taoyuan Store and Dayuan Store, which share the Taoyuan District truck fleet. For moving within Taoyuan city, Zhongli or Pingzhen, Taoyuan Store is the first choice; around Dayuan, Luzhu or the airport, use Dayuan Store. 7–9 seaters and scooters in Taoyuan

7–9 seaters can be booked at every Taoyuan point except Guishan Huilong Station. The official 7–9 seater lineup includes models such as the Wish, M7, Staria, Starex and Touran (see the 7–9 seater page); cars are shared across stores, so which day and which point has one is shown on the booking page. How fees work: rental + mileage fee + fuel card

• Rental: depends on the car and dates (weekday, weekend, holiday); live prices on the booking page.
• Mileage fee: charged by the kilometers you actually drive, with no distance cap.

Yes — Taoyuan Airport is bookable 00:00–23:55. Book before you fly, upload your documents and complete payment and the e-contract in advance, then follow your booking confirmation to the parking area.

Q4. What documents do I need?

Foreign visitors: passport and home-country driving license, and for most countries an International Driving Permit (IDP). Japanese visitors can use a Japanese license with an official Chinese translation under the Taiwan–Japan reciprocity arrangement. Taiwan residents: ID card and a valid driving license; payment by card or cash.
