• Car is dirty or low on fuel → Contact customer service — we'll arrange a clean or vehicle exchange

🚨 Incidents During Your Rental

• Traffic accident → ① Call the police immediately ② Do NOT settle privately with the other party ③ Call the nearest GoodCars branch for assistance with insurance and next steps
• Breakdown / vehicle won't start → Check the rental manual in the glove compartment and call the roadside assistance number listed inside

⏰ Return-Related Situations

• Returning late → Overtime fees apply per hour; over 6 hours is charged as a full day. Plan your return time carefully.
• Forgot to refuel → A refueling surcharge will be applied. Always fill up before returning.
• Lost the fuel card → A replacement fee will be charged. Keep the card in a safe place throughout your rental.

Taiwan residents need their National ID and a valid driver's license. Foreign visitors need their passport, home country driver's license, and an International Driving Permit (IDP), plus a credit card for the security deposit. Self-service kiosks are available 24/7 — once all your pre-arrival steps are complete, you go directly to the car park, find your vehicle, and keys are waiting in the glove compartment. First-time renters should choose a staffed branch; once familiar with the process, the self-service option saves time.

The mileage fee is NT$3.5 per km, calculated from the actual distance driven (return odometer minus pickup odometer). This is charged to your credit card at return. Fuel is paid using the dedicated fuel card inside the car — you don't need to cover it separately.

Overtime is billed per hour (every 60 minutes), with rates varying by vehicle type. If you're more than 6 hours late, the full day's rental rate applies. We recommend planning your return with a buffer to avoid extra charges.

ETC highway tolls are totaled and collected on the day of return — settled in cash (NTD). Have some cash ready when you come back. If using a self-service kiosk for return, ETC charges will be automatically billed to your registered credit card within 7–14 business days.

Call the police immediately and do not reach a private settlement with the other party. Then contact the nearest GoodCars branch — our staff will guide you through insurance claims and vehicle recovery. The vehicle registration and insurance card are in the glove compartment; present these to police or the other driver as needed.
